Display issues

Hi, I have installed the Book App and it looks very promising.

I have small display problems, though. It seems that some strings are missing on some pages.

(what are these radio buttons for ?)

(what are these fields supposed to be ?)

Second, is it possible (now or in a next future) to customize the look & feel of this application ?

And is this Book App open source ? If yes, is the source dowloadable yet ?
Do you accept contributions ?

Thanks for trying out the Books application.

The fields for the radio button are supposed switch modes to search your books database.

Please see the image attachment to this reply to see what i am talking about.

Can you please try a browser refresh after clearing the browser's cache ?

Dekoh platform and Dekoh applications are going to be opensource. Please refer to this post to a question someone has earlier made on this forum about this topic.

I have done as you said but I've got no change. Same problem with IE7 or Firefox 2.0.0.4.

Hi Andras,

I have got good news and bad news.

The bad news is that because of a bug in Dekoh Books internationlization, when a browser language preference is set to French the text labels turn up empty. This seem to happen only with French locale!

The good news is that we are working on a fix for this, and will get in touch with you with a patch as soon as possible.

Meanwhile the workaround to the problem you are experiencing is to set English as your language preference in your browser.

We are terrible sorry about the inconvenience this will cause. We appreciate very much your taking the time to report this behavior to us.

Hello Andras,

I am happy to tell you that this issue about some of the text labels not showing up is now fixed.

The fix is now part of the new Dekoh Books update we released.

To update your books application to this new version, please follow the following steps:

1. Access your Dekoh portal, by double clicking the Dekoh shortcut on your desktop.
2. Click 'Find Updates', next to the crimson colored bell.
3. In the pop-up that follows you should see a new Version (0.4.2.4) of Books application listed.
4. Click on 'Download' button next to Dekoh Books
5. After download is complete, Restart Dekoh by clicking the Restart Dekoh button

After the restart, new Dekoh Books application will be enabled, and you will not experience the reported problem anymore.
