I have uploaded all my photos in my newly purchased NAS (ReadyNas DUO) and I would like to be able to share them easily with others. If I try to import new albums from my photo folders, the photos get duplicated in my userid folder and the transfer process obviously takes a very long time.
Is it possible for my photo folders to be recognised as photo albums without having to reupload them all?

Thank you for your help

How do you import the photo albums ? If you click on "Import Albums" link in the ReadyNAS Photos app and then choose the media/Pictures folder in the dropdown, then the photos will not be duplicated.

I have a similar issue. I have a huge selection of photos on an old computer. I've transfered them, in their existing file structure, onto my ReadyNAS. I haven't put them in the media\pictures folder. Is it possible to get readynas photos to recognize these files and import them into its database without creating duplicates in the media\pictures folder? I don't want to run all these photos across the network again!
