I'm using the version that came with the ReadyNAS and was wondering if there is any way to customize the look of my albums a little. I'd like to change the black background, remove the box around the photos, and remove the "cross-hair" corners on the pictures. Thanks.

In the current version customizing the look and feel is not possible. This feature is on your todo list.
